Dealership preparation is expensive when compared to the time spent and quality of products used. There have been occasions where we have seen no traces of protection, despite the customer having being sold the upgrade.
After 15 years within the industry there have been a multitude of reasons why Adam Jeffrey Car Care & Detailing has developed a handful of New Car Protection options.
Recommended for New Vehicles under 1000 miles.
Entry Level New Car Protection – £150-£250
For individuals on a budget but still want a better and more thorough paint protection offering.
The process involves a safe wash process, snow foam, 2 bucket method. Transportation glues removed safely.
Clay bar process then used to remove any bonded contaminants on the paintwork. New vehicles travel miles without turning a wheel during the transporation, PDI (pre-delivery inspection) and some vehicles may sit on an airfield/holding area awaiting sale.
The vehicle then receives a hand polish to prepare the surface for our sio2 Hybrid sealant. Providing additional paintwork gloss as and the sealant offers 12 months protection. The alloys are also treated with protection.
The plastics/rubbers also get treated with safe water based products, which revive and protect these areas from deterioration. Finally the windows are cleaned to a streak-free finish.
4-7hr Booking
Recommended New Car Preparation – £350-£600
After nearly 2 decades within the industry, we have noticed 1 thing with new cars – they never are perfect out the factory. There are a number of reasons including: delivery contamination, poor wash technique at the dealership, factory paint defects, etc. New cars definitely need a thorough decontamination prior to any polishing work, whether that be by hand (as above) or by machine polisher.
New cars from the varying manufacturers differ. It isn’t uncommon to find factory paint sanding marks and defects inflicted during the time between factory and sale. This is why the machine polisher is then utilised to remove these defects within your paintwork. Increasing gloss levels to the absolute optimum and then wiped down with an IPA (isopropanol alcohol) to remove any surface oils left by the polishing process.
At this point the car is now ready for our sio2 hybrid protection, 12 months. If you are locking for more durable protection solutions, check out our Ceramic Coating upgrades. Offering between 3 and 6 years durability (depending on option chosen) and increased scratch resistance.

Ceramic coatings are based on the chemical sio2, silica / silicone dioxide. The chemical lattice that these true ceramic coatings (serums) provides increased scratch resistance with some options up to 9H on the pencil hardness scale. The durability is determined by the variances in sio2 concentrations developed by the manufacturers.
If you’re unsure on what coating to opt in/out of, we can point you in the right direction depending on your needs. Generally speaking we advise that if you change your vehicle often, sometimes the longest lasting protection isn’t the most viable option. Also, if you enjoy the experience of polishing and waxing your own vehicle post-our detailing treatments, a ceramic coating is not for you.
However, the purpose is to increase gloss, durability, scratch resistance and ultimately reduce the consumer maintenance down to a simple wash. Ceramic Coatings self-cleansing properties will ensure the paint surface stays cleaner for longer, plus making it seriously easy to clean and maintain.
